Biography
As a consequence of overnutrition and sedentary lifestyle, the increasing prevalence of obesity and its related complications has become a global public health concern. Dr. Geng’s research focuses on the metabolic regulation of diabetic and cardiovascular diseases from molecular study to clinical investigation, contributing to the identification of new biomarkers and development of novel therapeutic strategies. Especially, He is interested in the role and functioning mechanisms of metabolic hormones, such as FGF21 and insulin.
